We’re seeing some exciting progress at the Yawkey Station improvement project. Drainage line and outbound track relocation work is now complete and installation of the new foundations for both inbound and outbound platforms begins next week. The outbound track has been fully tested and is back in service. The inbound track has been cut and removed and following the completion of the new platforms it will be relocated and back in service. Currently a temporary platform is servicing all trains and will continue to do so until approximately December 2012. The next big steps will come with the installation of 7 or 8 pressure injected footings per day, followed by pile caps and the precast platforms. Everything looks great at the construction site and we are pleased to see the project finally progressing on schedule. The new, full service station is expected to be completed by the end of 2013. We look forward to sharing more updates.
